We offer a free no-obligation Financial Risk Assessment to SMEs

A financial risk assessment is a systematic examination of your business, and the potential pitfalls of running your business in today’s climate.
It identifies the significant hazards; the potential risk exposure to your business but at the same time helps you the business owner decide what further control measures to take to reduce the risk to an acceptable level.
Case Study

One of our clients approached us for a full risk assessment of their business. At that time, they were ready to call it a day, cashflow was a major issue and certain disciplines within the business were not profitable.

By way of background the business was a large Dental Laboratory with a turnover of circa £2/3million and was making a loss. The business employed 45 people. It serviced thousands of dentists in the UK. The business was made up of teams of highly skilled technicians that operated a crown and bridge department and a prosthetics department.

After carrying out a detailed risk assessment we discovered a number of areas within the business model that we felt we could address.

In summary we changed the structure of the business into three separate companies by their various disciplines; a new crown and bridge laboratory, a new prosthetics Laboratory, and new digital implant Laboratory.
We also introduced Cad-Cam digital technology, each under their own separate limited company.

Because of the longevity and reputation of the original company we retained it as the parent of the subsidiaries.

After making some internal financial changes, of which one was the introduction of invoice financing, the businesses are all making a profit for the first time in 5 years.
3 years on and the business is now valued at over £10 million.
No members of staff have been affected by the changes.

More importantly we managed to complete the restructure without disturbing a single dentist client!
